收藏The human S100A12 ELISA Kit quantitates human S100A12 levels in serum and plasma. S100A12, also called calgranulin C, is a calcium-binding protein highly expressed in neutrophils and lowly expressed in lymphocytes and monocytes. It is secreted and upregulated during acute and chronic infection. Upon release, S100A12 functions as a proinflammatory alarmin. Elevated plasma levels of S100A12 are a new biomarker for many inflammatory diseases due to their significantly increased expression at inflamed sites. Additionally, S100A12 has been detected in many types of cancer such as oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) and colorectal cancer, and is associated with proliferation, invasion, and migration of tumor cells. S100A12 expression is related to pathological features, including the tumor grade and stage as well as lymph node metastasis status.
This kit employs the sandwich-ELISA mechanism in conjugation with S100A12 antibody-S100A12 antigen-specific binding as well as HRP-TMB chromogenic reaction to measure the concentration of S100A12 in the samples. The kit is characterized by high sensitivity, strong specificity, good linearity, high recovery, and a precision of less than 10%.
