Description
CD79a molecule, immunoglobulin-associated alpha, also known as mb-1, is a human gene.The mb-1 gene codes for a phosphoprotein, designated CD79a (cluster of differentiation [CD]79a, that, together with the related CD79b protein, forms a dimer associated with membrane-bound immunoglobulin in B-cells. The CD79a/CD79b dimer is closely associated with the B-cell antigen receptor, in a similar manner to the association of CD3 with the T-cell receptor, and enables the cell to respond to the presence of antigens on its surface. It is associated with agammaglobulinemia-3.
Storage / Stability
The antibody is stable for at least 1 year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody can also be aliquotted and stored at 4°C for 1 month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for many months without detectable loss activity. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity
The antibody specifically binds to human CD79a Cross reactivity with mouse and rat were not tested.
Expiration:
12 months from the date of shipment when stored properly.
